ComedySportz Austin is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Born on Superbowl Sunday, 1986, a group of comedians got together to build a dream. Encouraged by an advance team from Milwaukee's flagship original ComedySportz in 1984, ComedySportz Austin--as the third US city--sought to capture the lightning in a bottle that Milwaukee had found.
This month, August 2026, ComedySportz Austin is celebrating its 40th Anniversary with three *Alumni Reunion* shows at Premier Music Academy in Round Rock. A Friday, August 28 8PM show with current players battling veteran alumni in the funniest comedy combat show you'll ever see. And then, Alumni vs Alumni in Saturday, August 29 7PM...a legacy comedy battle that will live in infamy. And finally a 9:30PM Pride show, with alumni and current players showcasing the absolute funniest comedy you'll find in town.
